Moose announce 2009-10 Promo Schedule

The Manitoba Moose today announced their promotional schedule for the 2009-10 regular season which includes celebrity appearances, unique collectibles such as a Cory Schneider Bobblehead, as well as concourse entertainment and a Narrows West Cottage lot giveaway on Fan Appreciation Night.

The Moose will host over 14 promotional evenings this season for fans of all ages, including Ladies' Night, in support of Keeping Abreast (Oct. 30), Celebrity Appearance Night featuring Hannah Montana's Jason Earles who play's Hannah's brother Jackson on the hit television show (Nov. 21), as well as Fan Appreciation Night (Apr. 10). Fans will also be treated to such annual promotional nights as New Year's Eve when the Moose will take on the expansion Texas Stars - the AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars - for the first time ever at MTS Centre at 4:00 PM, "Beat the Winter Blues" Night (Dec. 19), or the "Go Canada" Night when the Moose will salute Canada's National Men's and Women's hockey teams as they prepare for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver (Jan. 16). That night, the Moose will wear a special third jersey this time honoring the Trail Smoke Eaters, who captured the Gold Medal at the 1961 World Hockey Championships in Switzerland. The Moose will also wear special third jerseys on Military Appreciation Night (March 13), as well as Hockey Night in Manitoba when the team will wear jerseys patterned after the East St. Paul Aces who won the 2008-09 Manitoba Moose Community Jersey program. (Feb. 13).

The celebrations kick-off on October 2nd as the home opener features a battle between the Moose and the Houston Aeros - the team Manitoba defeated in the 2009 Calder Cup Western Conference Final. On opening night, fans will receive a Moose Fridge Magnet Schedule and everyone at the game will be entered into a draw for one of three Hardcore Hockey bar fridges.

Other new giveaways include Manitoba Moose Pink Ribbon Pucks, as well as Manitoba Moose Pink Ribbon lapel pins, sticks, collector cups, limited edition Cory Schneider Bobbleheads, and an appearance by Spiderman himself.

Several returning promotions will also be featured throughout the team's schedule, including post-game autograph sessions, Smooch Cam and post-season award ceremonies.
