January 2, 2019 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada)
Sudbury Five News Release
(Greater Sudbury, ON) Sudbury residents won't have to wait long for their first game of basketball action in 2019.
The Five return to action this Friday as they welcome back the London Lightning to the Sudbury Community Arena. The Five closed out 2018 this past Sunday against the Lightning at home, with the Five dropping a close game by two points. The shorthanded Five were without the services of leading scorers Braylon Rayson, Jaylen Bland, and Dexter Williams Jr. who all missed the game with injuries. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:05 PM with pre-game shoot-around beginning at 6:05 PM.
The Five will be looking for another strong game from Sudbury local Georges Serresse who had his best game in a Five uniform against the Lightning on Sunday with 18 points, four rebounds, and four assists. Serresse and the Five will be looking to get back into the win column as they return to the arena Friday against the Lightning.
Tickets are available online at thefive.ca or in person at the Sudbury Community Arena.
