"I am excited about being in the NBL because professional basketball has always been my dream. I have worked and trained hard and I'm excited to be a member of the Saint John Riptide, where I can continue to develop and contribute to the team's success. As a rookie, I want to do whatever it takes to help us win games and to win the Championship."
Fresh off an illustrious collegiate career for the Louisiana Baton Rouge Ragin' Cajuns, Frank Bartley IV has moved up north to start his professional career with the Saint John Riptide.
Bartley IV is known best for his scoring prowess, having led the Ragin' Cajuns in scoring last year with 17.8 PPG, earning him the Pete Maravich Memorial Award, an award given to the Major College Player of the Year by the Louisiana Association of Basketball Coaches.
When Bartley IV was first signed, Coach Nelson Terroba praised him, saying " "Frank is a strong and athletic guard who is a proven scorer and shoots the ball at a high rate. He is a two-way player who can get downhill while playing with poise."
His career with the Riptide has gotten off to a great start, leading the team in scoring (16.4 PPG) and 3-pointers made (24).
