Haroun Mohamed & Jasonn Hannibal Sign with Five for Upcoming Season

(Greater Sudbury, ON) The Sudbury FIVE are pleased to announce that they have signed 6'11 Centre Jasonn Hannibal from Mississauga, ON.

"Jasonn is a player I think our fans will fall in love on and off the court with," said Logan Stutz, Sudbury FIVE Head Coach and General Manager. "He's a big presence on the court and you can't miss him out there. He has had a great career and the fact that he wants to come to Sudbury to continue his career is really cool for both Sudbury and for him."

Hannibal comes to Sudbury after playing basketball internationally for the last six seasons. He most recently playing for Pegasus Kin Lung in Hong Kong during the 2021-22 season, averaging 26 points and 18 rebounds per game. In early 2020, he played for the Macau Black Bears in the Asean Basketball League (ABL) and played with Hong Kong Eastern between 2017-19 between the ABL and HKBA. During the 2015-16 season, Hannibal played for Correcaminos UAT in the Mexico professional league - Liga SISNova LNBP and he also played one season for the Halifax Hurricanes of the NBLC in the 2014-15 season. Prior to playing professionally, he played four seasons of NCAA basketball with the Portland Pilots.

The FIVE will return to action this January when they begin their regular season. Single game tickets go on-sale at 10am today at the Sudbury Arena Box Office and season memberships are still available now at the Sudbury Arena Box Office or online at greatersudbury.ca/tickets. Season Memberships start as low as $309 + HST per seat which includes 18 regular season games. The FIVE will kick off their season on December 29th with the Pros vs Joes charity game in support of local children's charities. Tickets at on-sale now at https://greatersudbury.ca/tickets.
