FISHER CATS PROSPECTS TO WATCH
Rowdy Tellez (1B) - The No. 7 prospect in the Blue Jays system (Baseball America) has started to heat up after a sluggish start in chilly Binghamton, NY. He collected his first Double-A hit on Monday, blasting a solo homer to right field, and followed that with a double and a pair of RBIs on Tuesday. The 21-year-old stands at 6-foot-4, 200-pounds.
Brady Dragmire (RHP) - A member of the Blue Jays 40-man roster and the team's 16th-ranked prospect (Baseball America), Dragmire highlights an impressive New Hampshire bullpen. In 3.1 innings thus far, he's allowed just one baserunner (a single) while striking out three batters. Scouts have raved about his mid-90s sinker, a pitch which gives him major big-league appeal.
OPPONENT - TRENTON THUNDER
The Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees enters the day with the second-best record in the Eastern League at 4-2, just a half-game behind the 5-2 Hartford Yard Goats.
TRENTON THUNDER PROSPECTS TO WATCH
Dante Bichette, Jr. (3B) - Son of former Colorado Rockies and Boston Red Sox outfielder Dante Bichette, the first-round pick has shown some pop in the early going. He's launched two homers and driven home six run in just four games, while batting .400 (6-for-15) in the process.
Cale Coshow (RHP) - Coshow, a 13th round pick in 2013, put together a breakout season last year. He started in Class-A Charleston, where he threw 16 scoreless innings out of the bullpen. The Yankees then moved him into a starting role with Advanced-A Tampa, where he went 7-2 with a 2.23 ERA. Coshow closed out the year with six starts in Double-A Trenton, firmly established as one of New York's most intriguing pitching prospects. The 6-foot-5, 260-pound righty is scheduled to start Thursday's opener.
