Bridgeport, Conn. - After 3,000,000 fans had gone through the turnstiles at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard, the Bridgeport Bluefish (15-12) slammed the Somerset Patriots (10-16) on Wednesday afternoon. Bridgeport won by a score of 13-7 at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard.

In an eight-run third inning, the Bluefish hit two-grand slams. The first one was scalded to left by Luis Lopez. It was his second home run of the season for the third baseman. Later in the inning, Angel Berroa lined a home run to leftcenter with the bases loaded. The shortstop's homer gave the Bluefish an 8-1 lead.

Somerset had cut the deficit to 8-4 and had the bases loaded; but Will Cunnane forced a fly ball that was caught by Greenberg, to the left of center, to end the threat. The Bluefish would score five unanswered followed by three straight from the Patriots.

Miguel Mejia (1-2) did not have his best stuff but picked up the victory for the Bluefish. He allowed two runs and allowed ten batters to reach base in five innings of work.

Derell McCall (0-1) suffered the loss as the Somerset starter surrendered seven runs in two-and-two-thirds innings.

There were some great performances for the Bluefish offensively. Berroa had four hits in four at-bats. The shortstop scored three times and drove in four. Lopez collected three hits in four at-bats. The third baseman knocked in five Bluefish runs and touched home plate twice. Greenberg and Moss also scored twice for the winning team. Greenberg and Colin Roberson picked up multiple hit games for Bridgeport.
