Knoxville Smokies News Release
KODAK, Tenn. - The first-place Tennessee Smokies return home from Jacksonville this Thursday night to kick off a five-game series with the Carolina Mudcats. This series promises to be a memorable one, as Starlin Castro will make his return to Smokies Park - in bobblehead form. Before the team's Saturday night 6:15 game, the Smokies will be giving away the very same bobblehead given out by the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field on April 5th.
Thursday's game, to start off the series, is a Food City Family Night, where fans will receive a "Buy One Ticket, Get One Ticket Free" offer when bringing a Orville Redenbacher label or a Food City receipt to the ticket office. It's also Pilot Prize Night, where everyone's a winner.
Friday's 7:15 game will bring fans all over East Tennessee another "Fireworks Friday" at Smokies Park, courtesy of Pepsi, Coors Light, Knoxville News Sentinel, WVLT-TV 8 and WIVK-FM.
Saturday's game will feature the Starlin Castro bobblehead giveaway at Smokies Park. The first 2,000 fans in with paid admission get the Castro bobblehead, courtesy of Comcast.
Prior to the Smokies' 2:00 Sunday game, the Smokies players will be on the field from 12-1 and host the team's annual Little League Clinic sponsored by SunTrust Bank. All Little League players and coaches in uniform will get into the clinic and game to follow for free. Smokies Kids Club members will also get in for free. It's also Poster Schedule Giveaway Day at Smokies Park. The first 2,500 fans in with paid admission get a 2010 Smokies poster schedule, courtesy of United Printers of Knoxville, PaeTec and Fairfield Inn & Suites - Sevierville/Kodak
On Monday, the Smokies will be playing at 11:30. Monday is Safe Kids & Health Awareness Day presented by Safe Kids and East Tennessee Children's Hospital.
