Vermont Frost Heaves News Release
The ABA Blue North Division-leading Vermont Frost Heaves return to the Aud in Barre for two games next week, hosting the Chicago Rockstars on Thursday, Dec. 7, at 7:05 pm, and the Quebec City Kebekwa on Saturday, Dec. 9, also at 7:05 pm.
Thursday will be Logger Night, featuring Rusty Dewees, who as the Northfield Savings Bank 110% Community All-Star will be in uniform, on the bench and ready if needed. Fans are encouraged to dress like the Logger. Those who do so most convincingly will have a chance to win in a halftime contest orchestrated by Rusty himself.
On Saturday "les Kebs" return to Barre with a much-improved team, having added to their roster Manix Auriantal, who was an ABA All-Star guard last season for Montreal. The Northfield Savings Bank 110% Community All-Star will be Bailey Starr, who with her mother Dana Starr rescued a hunter in distress with a 9-1-1 call from Interstate 89 earlier this month.
The Frost Heaves are on a collision course with the team they're tied with in first place, the defending ABA champion Rochester Razorsharks, who visit Burlington's Memorial Auditorium on Dec. 14.
Tickets for all Frost Heaves games are available through the Flynn Regional Box Office by calling 802-86-FLYNN; by going to flynntix.org; or by stopping by 153 Main Street in Burlington or 159 Pearl Street in Essex. General admission tickets for all games in Barre may be purchased in person at the Barre Opera House during regular box office hours, noon to 5 Tuesday through Friday, or in Montpelier at First in Fitness behind City Hall. Group tickets are available for parties of 10 or more--call 802-860-0082 for more information.
