Port Huron Fighting Falcons News Release

PORT HURON, MI - The Port Huron Fighting Falcons, proud members of the North American Hockey League, make their first trip to Janesville, Wisconsin for a weekend series with the Janesville Jets tonight and tomorrow night.

The Fighting Falcons enter the weekend with a 13-2-4 record, and a six-point lead in the North Division. The Jets sit in sixth place in the division, with a record of 7-10-1. Port Huron is third in the NAHL in points (30), winning percentage (0.789) and goals scored (62). They are one of two NAHL teams with just two regulation losses thus far this season.

Port Huron has not lost a game in regulation since October 9, amassing a record of 6-0-2 in that stretch.

The Fighting Falcons went 4-4 in eight matchups with the Jets during the 2012-13 campaign, outscoring the Jets 26-21 overall. Forward Vito Aluia's two goals in seven games against Janesville leads all Port Huron returners.

Janesville lost seven of their top eight scorers from last season, but returns Jordan Himley, who earned four points on two goals and two assists in eight games against Port Huron.

Mitch Maloney leads the Fighting Falcons with 17 points on nine goals and eight assists this season, and is one of seven Port Huron skaters with double-digit points.

Michael Louria leads the Jets with ten goals and ten assists. Louria is currently tied for eighth place in the NAHL with 20 points.

This is just the second series against a North Division opponent for Janesville, who has spent the majority of the 2013-14 season taking on teams from the NAHL's Midwest division. Janesville swept the Michigan Warriors in their first divisional matchup earlier this season.

Both of this weekend's games begin at 7 p.m. Central, and will be streaming live on www.fasthockey.com. Dennis Stuckey's play-by-play call will be broadcast live on WHLS/WHLX, and through the "Listen Live" link at www.phfightingfalcons.com.
