ALBANY, GA- South Georgia Wildcats fans can catch their first glimpse of the 2007 team on March 17th in the James H. Gray Civic Center. The Wildcats will take on the Alabama Steeldogs in an exhibition game on Cooper Tire Field at 7:30 PM EST.
"We're very excited to be able to provide another night of quality entertainment for our loyal fans, while also giving our coaching staff an opportunity to evaluate the entire roster," says General Manager Darren McPhail.
The exhibition game will be sponsored by Central Monitoring and will include a "Volunteer Appreciation Party" for those who are participating in the SNICKERS® MARATHON⢠Energy Bar marathon on Saturday, March 3rd. Season ticket holders and Wildcats sponsors will receive complimentary tickets. As with a regular season game, fans can expect the same wall-to-wall, hard-hitting action during the exhibition.
"We're very fortunate to get the opportunity to play against a quality team in our division during training camp," says Head Coach Derek Stingley. "It's very important to see how our athletes will compete in a game situation."
The Wildcats play their first regular season game of 2007 on Saturday, March 31st against the Arkansas Twisters at the Albany Civic Center on Cooper Tire Field. Individual game tickets are on sale now. For ticket information, call the Wildcats at 229 435 0205.
