Spokane Shock News Release

The Spokane Shock announced today that QB Andrico Hines and FB/LB Geoff Kirkendall have been assigned to the 2007 roster by the league office.

Hines, 6'2" 215, finished a decorated college career at Middle Tennessee State in 2003 where his 4,296 yards of total offense ranks sixth all-time. In 2003 he completed 153 passes, ranked fourth all-time, for seven touchdowns and three interceptions. Throughout his career, Hines excelled against top-ranked opponents, including a 2003 performance against eighth-ranked Georgia in which he accounted for 212 of the Red Raiders' 240 yards of total offense.

"Andrico is a very athletic quarterback who played against top-flight opponents throughout his college career," said Head Coach Adam Shackleford. "His college experience prepared him for an excellent professional career that he will continue here in Spokane."

Kirkendall, 6' 1' 265, comes to the Shock after completing his career at Wheaton College where he accounted for 67 tackles, including 6.5 for a loss with one sack in just two seasons.

Kirkendall, a Roseburg OR native, is excited to return to the northwest. "I want to play for a winning team but to be able to play for a new program and a team that won it all? You can't beat that!"

The roster now stands at 20 players under contract for the 2007 season. Shackleford and his players will begin training camp on March 9th in preparation for the season opener on March 31st on Northern Quest Casino Field at the Spokane Arena. Season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 509 242 7462.
