Fireworks Shows Canceled at PNC Field

Moosic, PA - Post game fireworks shows at PNC Field originally scheduled for Friday, September 3rd and Saturday, September 4th following the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees games vs. the Pawtucket Red Sox at PNC Field have been canceled.

Although the incident during the fireworks show following the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees home game on Friday, August 27th has been ruled an accident by a state police fire marshals, the team will examine all aspects of the post game fireworks shows with the fire department, sheriffs, county commissioners and the Stadium Authority board before proceeding with additional shows.

"We will be reviewing policies, procedures, practices and the physical aspects of fireworks being shot off at PNC Field," said SWB Yankees President Kristen Rose. "We expect to resume fireworks shows again next season and appreciate the understanding of our fans. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the families of those involved."
