
Fireworks show added for July 2nd

We're making sure you have a great fourth of July week, by adding a Toyota World of Lakewood Fireworks Night for July 2nd. It makes up for the fireworks show that was washed out on June 20th. We also have a fireworks show on July 3rd, and Great Reserve Seat Tickets are available for both games. Call now at 732-901-7000 Option 2.
2. The BlueClaws second half is underway, and Lakewood is off to a 3-3 start. Matt Sweeney has helped the staff with four straight strong starts, including his first win last Wednesday. Francisco Butto continues to pitch well and is 2nd in the SAL in ERA at 1.58. Offensively, Chris Roberson has picked things up in the leadoff spot, hitting .400 over the past week. 3. Two former BlueClaws players made the Future Stars game, the most prestigious minor league All-Star Game in the country. The game will be played on July 13th in Chicago. Ryan Howard and Gavin Floyd, who played for Lakewood last season, were named to the team on Monday and will represent the U.S. Team against the World All-Stars. Howard and Floyd both made the Florida State League All-Star Team. One current BlueClaws player, G.G. Sato, played in the SAL All-Star game this week. The catcher played three innings going 0-1 at the plate. You can get baseball cards of Floyd, Howard, and Sato at FirstEnergy Park now, as team card sets are in!!! 4. One week into the second half of the season the BlueClaws made yet another roster move. RHP Lee Gwaltney was removed from the DL and has rejoined the BlueClaws. Gwaltney is expected to start June 30th at home against the Greensboro Bats. Meanwhile righty Robinson Tejeda has been promoted to Clearwater.
5. The two Toyota World of Lakewood Fireworks Shows Wednesday and Thursday highlight a great home stand June 30-July 3. We've got Reserve Seat Tickets available for each of the four games, with the best availability on July 1st and 2nd. Here's what's on tap:

6. We're nearing the milestone for our season-long promotion, 1,234,567 ... Every Fan Counts ... as we're 65,268 away. 9. We also want to make sure all local businesses take advantage of the second annual Business to Consumer Expo at FirstEnergy Park. This year's event on Thursday July 10th will raise funds for the ARC of Ocean County and ARC of Monmouth County. The Expo runs from 5-7:30 p.m. and is open to the public. The entire $5 admission charge will be donated to the local ARC Chapters. Interested businesses should contact their local chamber, as 12 chambers of commerce are participating.
10. Finally, the BlueClaws are offering you to participate in a special event, taking place at FirstEnergy Park on July 16th, during the BlueClaws game against Lake County. Thanks to Rosemont Wines and Sawyer's Buy Rite we'll be holding a wine tasting event at prior to the game. Tickets for the Wine Tasting Event which includes admission to the ballgame, is $28.95 if your 21 and older, $23.95 for anyone under 21.
