
Fireworks, Faith Nights Highlight Upcoming Homestand

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Nashville Sounds return to Greer Stadium this Saturday to open an eight-game homestand, which includes series against the Iowa Cubs and Albuquerque Isotopes.
The exciting week will be highlighted by the first two Purity Faith Nights of the season and three of the Sounds' spectacular postgame fireworks shows, presented by Your Select Buick-Pontiac-GMC Dealers.
The first game of a four-game series against division-rival Iowa will be at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday with the Sounds hosting their first Purity Faith Night of the year. Fans can invite their youth group, singles group, Sunday school class, or any other church-related function to a fun-filled family environment at Greer Stadium! A pre-game concert will take place at 4:30 featuring artists Brooke Barrettsmith and Mike Rayson, and a dazzling fireworks display will fill the sky immediately following the game, presented by Your Select Buick-Pontiac-GMC Dealers.

The second game of the series with the Cubs will start at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday with gates opening at 12:30 p.m. A Sunday home game means another Purity Sundae Sunday with $1 ice cream sundaes available at Greer Stadium.
Monday's game starts at 7:00 p.m., and fans can enjoy Red Hot Chicago Dollar Dog Night where hot dogs are only $1 at all concession stands. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday's series finale against Iowa will start at 7:00 p.m. with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. The final game of the series will be Popcorn, Indiana 2-for-1 Tuesday where fans who present a receipt showing the purchase of a 4 oz. bag of Popcorn, Indiana Kettlecorn from Walgreen's will receive two tickets for the price of one for every Tuesday home game.
Tuesday is also Pepsi Appreciation Night where fans can receive vouchers for four free tickets to the game by picking them up at local restaurants like Otter's Chicken Tenders on Demonbreun St., Cheeseburger Charlie's locations at Vanderbilt, Green Hills, and Harding Rd., and Jersey Mike's on White Bridge Rd.
After a league-wide off day on Wednesday, the Sounds will open a four-game series with the Albuquerque Isotopes on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Thirsty Thursday means fans can enjoy $1 draft beverages until 8:30 p.m. or the 5th inning, whichever comes first, and the Miller Lite Concert Series will continue with a free one-hour, pre-game show by Delilah Why on the stage inside the first-base entrance.
Friday's game starts at 7:00 p.m. with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. This will be the second Purity Faith Night of the homestand with a special night of celebration to benefit Rocketown that will include skateboard exhibitions, dance teams, and music with special guests from Rocketown. The headlining music act will be Alabaster Box from Australia. Combined with fireworks after the game, Saturday is another can't miss night at the ballpark with the Nashville Sounds!
The third game of the series will be Saturday at 6:00 p.m, and it will be a busy night at the ballpark with several different promotions going on at the stadium. The first 2,000 fans through the turnstiles will receive a free Sounds t-shirt courtesy of Copley Instruments, and Alex's Lemonade Stand will also be at the ballpark to sell lemonade and raffle off a Sounds memorabilia item outside the gates to raise funds for their foundation to help fight childhood cancer. Saturday is also Tennessee State Parks Night with park rangers in attendance with various animals to visit along the concourse before and during the game. Last but not least, another dazzling fireworks display presented by Your Select Buick-Pontiac-GMC Dealers will take place immediately following the game.
The Sounds will close out their homestand with the final game on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. against the Isotopes. Fans can enjoy Purity Sundae Sunday with $1 ice cream Sundays at Greer Stadium.
Following the homestand, the Sounds will travel to Oklahoma for a four-game series against the RedHawks and then move on to face the Cubs again in Iowa before returning to Greer Stadium on June 17 to begin another eight-game homestand.
