
Hammock's return keys Sidewinders victory

Tucson, AZ - Catcher Robby Hammock went 4-for-5 in his return to the Tucson Sidewinders in their 12-1 win over the Las Vegas 51s.
Hammock drove in three and scored a run in his first game of the season with the Sidewinders after being optioned down by the Diamondbacks. The catcher previously played for Tucson in 2003-04 and 2006-07.
Hammock led a Sidewinders offensive charge that included 17 hits, three doubles, three triples and home run.
Yusmeiro Petit dealt for the Sidewinders, going 7 innings with just 1 run allowed and 6 strikeouts. Petit improved to 2-2 with the victory and has yet to walk a batter in 32 innings with Tucson this season.
The first five batters in the Sidewinders lineup all record multiple hits, including Emilio Bonifacio who joined Hammock with 4 hits himself.
Tucson and Las Vegas will play the third game of the four game set when lefthander Evan MacLane (1-3, 6.42) will take the mound for the Sidewinders opposed by lefty Eric Stults (3-5, 3.68). First pitch is at 6:30 p.m. The game will air live on COOL 1450 beginning at 6:20 p.m.
