Florida Firecats News Release

Estero, FL- The Florida Firecats are excited to announce that Arena Football League legend Victor Hall will return to football to play for the Florida Firecats.

"I feel good about returning to football," Hall said upon return. "I am here to enhance, not dominate. I am going to try to get everyone here to play at a level that they never thought imaginable. I want to help them get to the next level."

Hall spent the 2003 season with the Firecats, only he was not playing on the offensive/ defensive line. He was coaching them.

Hall played with the AFL's Los Angeles Avengers, and he won an Arena Bowl championship with the Orlando Predators. For his antics on the field, Hall was dubbed the "Sack Man". He is number nine on the AFL's all-time sack list. He was once named All-Arena and All-Ironman in a single season. He is one of only three players to ever receive such honors.

Hall also spent time in the National Football League with the Minnesota Vikings and the Indianapolis Colts. He also played in the NFL Europe for the Barcelona Dragons, where he led the team in tackles and sacks in 1995.

Hall was a three-year letterman at Auburn University, where he played tight end. He caught 54 passes for 522 yards over his career with the Tigers. He started 22 of his last 23 games at Auburn. He was also selected to the All-Southeastern Conference 1st Team for his performance during his junior year. In his final collegiate game, he set a Peach Bowl record when he caught nine receptions against Indiana.

"Getting Victor Hall is a tremendous boost for us on and off the field," Firecats' General Manager Chris Vallozzi said. "He will bring all of these young guys up to another level."

Hall enjoys spending his time with his three daughters: Ajash, Alexis, and Sydney. He has spent much of his time at schools speaking to kids about the dangers of drugs and the positive aspects of extracurricular activities such as football. He also became the youngest Chief of Police in the history of the state of Alabama when he was only 23-years-old.
