Estero, FL- At 12-2 the Firecats are having their best season in team history. The following is an updated list of players who are closing in on some individual milestones.

QB- Chris Wallace has thrown 75 TD's this year. He now needs just 2 more to break Ken Mastrole's team record of 76 (2004) to hold the single season record.

OS- Magic Benton has caught 31 TD's this year and now is just 2 behind Cainon Lamb's record of 31 in 1 season set back in 2003. Magic has 95 TD receptions for his career.

WR/LB- Cainon Lamb has 117 combined (receiving, rushing, and kick returns) TD's in his career 2nd most in the league behind Mitch Allner's 126. He has 109 TD's receiving just 4 behind Allner's mark of 113.

DS- Kelly Snell has 92 tackles this year, 2nd highest single season mark in team history behind Quincy Sorrell's 100.5 last year. The league record is 121 in 1 year.

K- Brandon Kornblue currently has made 38 career field goals, tied with James Thomas who kicked 38 with Greensboro from 2000-2003. He needs just 1 more to become the leading kicker in 4 different career categories.

Florida travels to Green Bay this weekend to take on the (8-6) Green Bay Blizzard. Kickoff is scheduled for 8pm. The ‘Cats will then travel to Birmingham the following week where they will look to end the regular season with a complete sweep of the South Division, Florida is 7-0 against the rest of the division this year.

The Firecats are now one game ahead of Manchester in the race for the top seed in the American Conference. If the Firecats can hold off the Wolves they will have home field throughout the playoffs. Florida is 2-0 at home all time in the post-season.

The 2nd round schedule has been set and the Firecats will host an opponent yet to be determined on August 13th with the kickoff scheduled for 7:40pm. Playoff tickets are now on sale.
