Firecats Announce New Radio Commentator

Estero, FL- The Florida Firecats are pleased to announce that Dave Parks will take over the radio commentary for the remainder of the season.

Parks has worked the home games as the color commentator with previous radio announcer, Dave Leval. Leval has decided to decline the radio responsibilities for the remainder of the season.

Parks was the color commentary for the Fort Myers (Florida) Green Wave last year, which aired on ESPN-770 AM. For two years, he also was the play-by-play announcer for the Collier County Game of the Week on 98.9 FM WGUF in southwestern Florida. He also called the 2001 Class 5A high school football state championship for Naples High School.

Parks produces "Daybreak Southwest Florida" on WINK/ WNOG 1240 and 1270 AM, and he also does the sports for the show. He also handles production for Powertalk WPTK 1200 AM, which airs Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the University of Florida football games.

"Simply put, I eat, sleep, and breathe football," Parks said. "I put in a level of intensity and enthusiasm to the broadcasts unmatched anywhere else."
