Firebirds Send Record 9 Players to NHL Training Camps

Flint, Mich. - The Flint Firebirds announced today that the club has a record nine players attending NHL Training Camps ahead of the 2019-20 season.

NHL Camps are getting underway this week. Four Firebirds will take part in the Traverse City Prospects Tournament this Friday, Sep. 6 through Tuesday, Sep. 10: Jake Durham (Columbus Blue Jackets), Ty Dellandrea (Dallas Stars) and Cody Morgan and Anthony Popovich (Detroit Red Wings).

Additionally, Riley McCourt (Boston Bruins) will take part in the Buffalo Prospects Challenge this Friday, Sep. 6 through Monday, Sep. 9.

Dennis Busby and Evgeniy Oksentyuk (Arizona Coyotes) will skate in the Anaheim Rookie Faceoff Saturday, Sep. 7 through Tuesday, Sep. 10.

Ethan Keppen (Vancouver Canucks) and Vladislav Kolyachonok (Florida Panthers) have also left for their respective NHL Camps.
