Firebirds Acquire Three Draft Picks from Peterborough for F Sahil Panwar

Flint, Mich. - The Flint Firebirds announced today they have acquired a 2023 5th, 2024 6th (originally from the Soo) and 2025 4th for overage F Sahil Panwar.

"Panny was an integral part of our success last season," Head Coach and General Manager Ted Dent said. "He has been a great Firebird these last few years on and off the ice. We wish him nothing but the best."

Sahil Panwar came to Flint in September 2020 and immediately made an impact once he suited up for the Firebirds during the 2021-22 season. He finished the season with 17 G and 27 A in 57 GP and scored big-time goals in the 2022 playoffs, including the game-tying goal in Game 7 of the Firebirds' first-round matchup.

The Mississauga native, who was initially drafted by the London Knights, heads to Peterborough with 131 career GP in the OHL.
