
Finally...Armada Sunk

Reno Silver Sox News Release
For the first time in 2007, the Reno Silver Sox have defeated the Long Beach Armada.
Led by Nick Moran?s 7.2 innings in his 11th start of the year, the Sox defeated the Armada by a final of 5-3 at Blair Field. Moran allowed three runs on seven hits and struck out four.
The Silver Sox scored their first two runs when 2B Mike Done and 3B Chuck Sidlinger each had sacrifice flies in the fourth and sixth innings.
Then in the seventh inning CF Victor Hall was intentionally walked and RF Ryan Kowalski singled scoring one run. LF Kane Simmons then singled in another and Hall scored on a balk.
Eric Thomas came in with two out in the eight in relief of Moran and shut down the Armada in the ninth to earn his fifth save of the season.

The Silver Sox return home Monday to face St George in Reno.
