Final Chance To Vote For Your Hometown Hero

Rockford, Ill.- Rockford IceHogs fans have until Friday, Nov. 9 to vote for their hometown heroes. The IceHogs, in conjunction with WTVO-TV channel 17, have teamed up for Hometown Heroes Day at the Rockford MetroCentre on Sunday, Nov. 11 when the IceHogs take on the San Antonio Rampage at 5:05 p.m.
There are nine nominees for the contest. Votes for the Hometown Heroes can be cast at www.mystateline.com/content/hometownheroes. The grand-prize winner of the promotion will receive an authentic IceHogs jersey and two round trip airline tickets from Allegiant Air.
All finalists will be on hand on Veteran's Day and the winner will be announced during the first intermissions of the IceHogs-Rampage game.
Also on Sunday, the IceHogs present the Annual Guns and Hoses game. The game features the Rockford area police officers against the Rockford area firefighters. Doors at the MetroCentre on Sunday will open at 1:15 p.m. and the Guns and Hoses game will begin at 1:30 p.m. Tickets purchased for the IceHogs game against San Antonio will grant fans admission to the Guns and Hoses contest.
The first 1,000 fans to the game on Sunday, beginning at 1:15 p.m., will receive IceHogs Poster #1 in a series of seven. The poster is sponsored by Medicine Man, Johnson Press, Rockford Register Star and Pepsi.

Next Home Game: Friday, Nov. 9 vs. Grand Rapids Griffins. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. Rockford returns to the big orange box to take on the Griffins. The first 1,000 fans to the game will receive a transistor radio from Maverick Media. For tickets call (815) 968-5222.
