
Figueroa and Liz Keys to victory

Frederick, MD -- Paco Figueroa continued to swing a hot bat in the exhibition season, while Radhames Liz earned the victory, as the Keys defeated the Montgomery College Germantown Gryphons 15-1 in their final exhibition game.
Figueroa went 2-for-3 with 4 RBI'S now reaching base in 9 of 10 plate appearances during the exhibition season. Meanwhile Liz struck out nine in four innings and Nolan Reimold hit his second home run in as many nights.
The Gryphons got on the board first when Tim Park's RBI double drove in Jose Avila.
The Keys answered quickly as Jarod Rine hit his own double to drive in Figueroa to tie the score at one. From then on it was all Keys. Figueroa drove in two in the second inning with a single. Pete Shier drove in another run in the fourth, before Reimold's three-run shot in the fifth inning.
The Keys exploded for eight runs in the sixth inning, bringing 12 batters to the plate.
Jeff Montani and Fredy Deza combined to toss three scoreless innings.
Jenson Pupa took the loss allowing three runs on four hits over 2.1 innings.
