Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release
DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Fighting Saints will attempt to end the symbolic first-half of the season on a high note this weekend, hosting the Lincoln Stars tonight at 7:05 p.m. and the Waterloo Black Hawks on Saturday, also at 7:05 p.m. The Fighting Saints lost two games in Indiana last weekend, losing back-to-back games in regulation for the first time this season.
The Stars have earned first place positioning in the USHL's Western Conference. The Stars have won three games in a row, including the last two over the Black Hawks. They have a better record away from home than on home ice, having compiled an 8-3-0 record on the road this season. Kevin Roy leads the Stars and the USHL in scoring, having tallied eighteen goals and seventeen assists for a total of thirty-five points - five points more than any other player in the league.
Tonight's game begins a stretch of six consecutive games at home for the Fighting Saints. To this point in the season, the Saints have played only seven games in Dubuque compared to fifteen on the road. After tomorrow night's game, the Fighting Saints will take a break for Christmas and return to the ice on December 28, when they host Green Bay.
Pregame begins at 6:40 on Dubuque's Super Hits 106 and SuperHits106.com.
