Fighting Saints Release 2022-23 Schedule

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Dubuque Fighting Saints, in conjunction with the USHL, have released the 2022-23 regular season schedule. The regular season, presented by MidWestOne Bank, begins with the DICK'S Sporting Goods USHL Fall Classic on Saturday, September 24, 2022, and will conclude on the road in Waterloo on Saturday, April 22, 2023.

Due to ongoing renovations at the Mystique Community Ice Center, the first eight games of the 62-game regular season will be played away from home. However, the Fighting Saints will return home for Opening Night, presented by MidWestOne Bank, on Friday, November 4 against the reigning Eastern Conference champion Madison Capitols at 7:05 p.m.

New for the 2022-23 season, the Fighting Saints will ring in the new year against the rival Cedar Rapids RoughRiders on Saturday, December 31, 2022, and will celebrate Valentine's Day against the Green Bay Gamblers on February 14, 2023.

The USHL will continue to employ a more regionally based schedule, as the Fighting Saints will take on all of the teams in the Eastern Conference. Dubuque will only play against the Waterloo Black Hawks and the Des Moines Buccaneers at their venues in the Western Conference, and will play the Omaha Lancers at the DICK'S Sporting Goods USHL Fall Classic.

The longest homestand of the season will range from Friday, November 18 to Saturday, November 26, with four home games inclusive. In February, the Fighting Saints will host seven home games, the most in a single month in the 2022-23 season.

All home games start at 7:05 p.m., except for Sunday games, which start at 3:05 p.m.

The Fighting Saints, led by new head coach Kirk MacDonald, will look to clinch a 12th consecutive Clark Cup playoff berth, and capture the organization's sixth Clark Cup championship. MacDonald was announced as the sixth head coach in the team's Tier I history on June 13, 2022.
