Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release
DUBUQUE, Iowa - Fighting Saints fans will have an extra half-hour to get to the Mystique Community Ice Center for what should be three of the more popular games during the second half of the season. The start times for the three games - against Cedar Rapids on January 6, and against Waterloo on February 24 and April 6 - have been pushed back a half-hour to 7:35 p.m.
The change will allow Fighting Saints fans extra time to arrive at the Mystique Community Ice Center for three of the rivalry games on the Fighting Saints schedule. Due to the close proximity of the opponents for the games, fans from both Waterloo and Cedar Rapids will also have better opportunities to participate in the rivalries in person.
The time at which the doors will open for these games will be announced at a later date, but will be no later than 6:30 p.m.
The Fighting Saints will return to the ice in Dubuque tomorrow night against the Chicago Steel. It is the only game at home for the Fighting Saints in a stretch of ten of eleven away from the Key City. The team will wear camouflage jerseys Friday for Military Appreciation Night. The custom jerseys will be auctioned off after the game to raise money for the Veteran's Freedom Center in Dubuque.
