DUBUQUE, IA - The Dubuque Fighting Saints (7-1-1-1, 16 pts) host the Tri-City Storm (7-3-0-0, 14 pts) on Friday night at ImOn Arena.

Here are five things to know about the matchup:

1. Besting the West

This weekend marks the fifth and sixth-consecutive games for the Fighting Saints against Western Conference opponents. Through the first four, Dubuque has won three of those contests.

In those four games, the Fighting Saints offense has scored 19 of its league-leading 53 goals. The stretch continues with the second of back-to-back games with Tri-City, a team Dubuque defeated 4-2 on the road last Saturday.

2. Rinse and Repeat

Friday's game will be the Saints' second-straight against Tri-City. Dubuque skated to a 4-2 win in Kearney, Nebraska last Saturday.

In the win, Luke Malboeuf scored his first-career USHL goal early on, before Fisher Scott, Seamus Powell and James Reeder added the other Saints' goals.

Dubuque's penalty kill went a perfect five-for-five in the victory.

3. Shutting it Down

Fighting Saints goaltender Kevin Reidler continued his dominance against Tri-City last weekend, making 31 saves on 33 shots.

Reidler has logged a .915 save percentage this year to rank seventh among qualified goaltenders. The Saints' backstop has won four of his seven starts and has lost in regulation just one time.

4. Power Play

Powell's power-play goal served as the game-winner last Saturday against Tri-City. Dubuque's 16 power-play goals are the most in the USHL.

In every game this season in which Dubuque has had at least one power-play chance, its man-advantage has converted.

Last weekend, the Saints power play scored on three of 10 chances.

5. Scouting the Storm

Cameron Korpi, Tri-City's number one goaltender, did not play against Dubuque on Saturday, but boasts a .949 save percentage. Korpi made 43 saves on 44 shots last Friday in a win over Sioux Falls.

Offensively, Trevor Connelly is the name to watch for Tri-City. A top-rated NHL Draft prospect, Connelly is tied with Dubuque's Chase LaPinta for the league lead with 11 assists. He has 14 total points, but had none on Saturday against Dubuque.

Friday's game begins at 7:05 p.m. CST in Dubuque. It can be seen on FloHockey and heard on Eagle 102.3 FM. Tickets are available HERE.
