Fighters Sign Defensive Back Allante Leapheart

FRISCO, Texas - The Frisco Fighters head coach Billy Back, announced the signing of defensive back Allante Leapheart for the 2023 season.
The Detroit, Michigan native is 5-foot-10 and 190 pounds. Leapheart spent his first two collegiate seasons at Mendocino College (2016) and Santa Rosa Junior College (2018) before transferring to Eastern Kentucky University in 2019. Leapheart then transferred to Grand Valley State at the conclusion of the 2020 season. He received all-conference recognition in addition to serving both EKU and GVSU as team captain.
Back stated, "Leapheart is a cover guy that isn't afraid to stick his nose in the run game and make plays. He's a guy who gets to the football either in the air or on the ground. He's proven to be a playmaker that can translate into getting turnovers. Allante is going to come in and make a name for himself from day one with how he can fly around."
