The Fighters' defense definitely traveled Saturday night, and with that came a 37-29 win over the Northern Arizona Wranglers and an early berth in the postseason.

Frisco (10-2) limited the defending IFL National Champions to just 15 points over the first three frames, and the Wranglers (6-6) never led in the ballgame. TJ Edwards accounted for all five of the Fighters' scores - each of which came on the ground - to push his league-high for rushing scores to 41 on the year. Along with that, Edwards' 685 rushing yards are second in the IFL, only behind Massachusetts' Jimmie Robinson.

Northern Arizona trailed by just five points at the halftime break, as Garrett Kettle's two air strikes and a Conor Mangan field goal as time expired in the second quarter kept the Wranglers within striking distance.

By hitting pay dirt twice in the third frame, Edwards stretched Frisco's lead to 19 points. Bryce Crawford added a 22-yard field goal make in the fourth.

The Fighters will be back in action on Saturday when they host the Bay Area Panthers for Dallas Stars Night. Frisco has gone 5-0 at home this go-round.
