
Storm Defeat the Oilers by One-Point

Sioux Falls Storm News Release
The Sioux Falls Storm Indoor Football team survived a nail-biter, defeatng the Tulsa Oilers 35-34 on Saturday night in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Storm defense put up another strong performance, racking up three interceptons in the win, giving them 16 total interceptons, which is currently the most in the IFL this season.
Defensive back Byron Edwards hauled in a pair of interceptons in the win, including a pick-six touchdown early in the third quarter. Edwards now has four interceptons on the season, all coming over the last three games. Cliton Duck also recorded his second intercepton of the season, both coming against the Tulsa Oilers.
Storm running back Xavier Jackson had a good night, finishing with three rushing touchdowns to go along with his 120 all-purpose yards. Jackson now has 11 rushing touchdowns on the season, second most on the team behind quarterback Lorenzo Brown Jr. who failed to score a rushing touchdown for just the second tme all season.
Brown finished the night going 10-of-22 in the pass atack, totaling 105 yards and a touchdown through the air. Draysean Hudson caught the lone touchdown pass of the night for the Storm. Hudson finished the night with three catches for 39 yards and the score.
The win on Saturday night was a big one for the Storm, who moves back into fourth place in the Indoor Football League's Eastern Conference. The Storm hold the te-breaker over the Green Bay Blizzard (based on conference winning percentage) for the final playoff spot. The Blizzard will visit Sioux Falls on Friday June 23rd in what has turned into a must-win game for both teams entering the final month of the 2023 regular season.
