Daytona Cubs info...
The Cubs are currently 3rd in the Florida State League, but are only one and a half games behind first place St. Lucie. Daytona looks for the four-game split this evening with Mark Holliman (2-3) taking on the Dunedin Blue Jays. Daytona then travels to take on rival Brevard County in a four-game set at Space Coast Stadium. All fans are encouraged to come and cheer on the Cubs!
The Cubs have some hot hitters in their line-up. Sam Fuld is batting .339 with a Cubs season-long 14 game hitting streak. Matt Craig is batting .333 and Jake Fox keeps up his hitting with a .314 average.
Daytona lost pitcher Carlos Vasquez earlier this week when the lefty was promoted to West Tennessee. The Cubs will miss him, but he earned his promotion going 3-0 with an ERA under two with Daytona.
Remember to keep booking those group outing and picnics at the park and cheer on the Cubs to what could be a first-half title!
