
Fifteen Hit Attack Powers BlueClaws Over Braves

Rome, GA - The Lakewood BlueClaws beat the Rome Braves Sunday afternoon 13-3 to take the third game of a four game series at State Mutual Stadium.
The Braves opened the scoring in the bottom of the second on an RBI doubles by Matt Tellor and Connor Oliver for the 2-0 lead. Lakewood made it a 4-2 game in the fourth on a RBI single by Demek Tomscha and a three-run homerun by Jiandido Tromp (3). The BlueClaws put together another big inning in their half of the fifth scoring six runs highlighted by Tromp's (4) second three-run homerun of the game making the score 10-2. The Braves put a run on the board in the bottom of the inning on an RBI groundout by Jordan Edgerton. The BlueClaws extended their lead in the top of the ninth on a two RBI triple by Cord Sandberg followed by an RBI double by Tromp for his seventh RBI of the game for the final score of 13-3.
Will Morris (2-0) gets the victory while Oriel Caicedo (3-5) the loss.
