
Fielders and League Remain in Discussions

Zion, IL. The Lake County Fielders, a minor league baseball team in Zion, IL, have resumed discussions with the North American League to complete the 2011 season schedule and remain in the League for future seasons.
"The last few days have been a tough and regrettable exercise," said team spokesman Bernie DiMeo of DiMeo Communications. "It's now the morning after, and the Fielders and the League are exploring all options to keep the League together and moving forward in a positive direction this year and beyond. We anticipate an announcement by tomorrow."
