Ficklin Signs with Kansas City Brigade

The Green Bay Blizzard announced today that FB/LB Antonio Ficklin (6'2" 270, San Jose State) has signed a three-year contract with the Kansas City Brigade of the Arena Football League. Ficklin is a league-high seventh player off the 2007 Blizzard roster to move up to the next level.
As a fullback, Ficklin lead the Blizzard in rushing with 188 yards and 9 touchdowns. He also caught 15 passes for 153 yards and one touchdown. Ficklin attributes his success in Arena Football to his time this past season here in Green Bay.
"I am very happy and blessed to have played for the Blizzard. The organization and coaching staff are well respected in Arena Football. They help put me in a position to make plays."
Ficklin is very optimistic and wants to make a name for himself in his first year in the AFL.
"I want to come in this season, play hard, physical football and make some plays."
Five other Blizzard players have signed AFL contracts: DB Stephen Cason (Georgia Force), OL Aqua Etefia (Georgia Force), DL Jason Hardee (New York Dragons), DB Donnie Amadi (Georgia Force) and Ronnie Amadi (New York Dragons). Blizzard quarterback Gino Guidugli also signed with the British Columbia Lions of the Canadian Football League making a total of seven players from the 2007 team to sign contracts this off-season.
