Yard Dawgz Expand 2008 Roster and Send One to Arena Football League

OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz of arenafootball2 announced today that WR/DB DonTa Bright and FB/LB Paul Szczesny have been added to their 2008 roster and FB/LB Alan Krutulis has signed with the AFL's Chicago Rush.

Bright's (6'1, 195) first af2 experience came in 2006 with the Amarillo Dusters. He is a versatile player that had an outstanding year on both sides of the ball, with 26 receptions for 276 yards and led the team with 604 kick return yards. Defensively, he collected 37.5 total tackles and 4 pass breakups. In 2007, his season was cut short do to an injury and he played in only one game. Bright finished his collegiate career at New Mexico Highlands University with 74.5 total tackles, 11 tackles for a loss, 5.5 sacks, and was a second team All-American. Prior to transferring to New Mexico Highlands, Bright attended Eastern Arizona Junior College where he led the team in sacks and earned Junior College second team All-American honors in 2001.

af2 newcomer, Szczesny (6'1, 255, pronounced "Skez-nee"), was on the roster for the Indiana Hoosiers for two seasons where he earned national recognition under Head Coach Gerry DiNardo. Szczesny spent two years at Pima Community College in Arizona before attending Indiana University. At Pima, Szczesny collected 189 tackles, 6 interceptions and was the team sack leader his freshman year. Szczesny was a 2003 Junior College All-American, named to the 2003 All-ACCAC First team, and a three time national player of the week award winner.

Former Yard Dawg, FB/LB Alan Krutulis, has signed with the Chicago Rush of the Arena Football League. Krutulis was with the Yard Dawgz in 2006 and had significant playing time for the franchise in 2007, collecting 19 rushes for 5 TDs and 14 receptions for 131 yards.
