Indiana Fever News Release

INDIANAPOLIS - For its opening preseason game on Saturday, May 5, the Indiana Fever is joining forces with The Indiana Heart Hospital and WISH-TV for a cause-related event to battle heart disease - the leading killer of American women. All tickets are $10 general admission for the game against the Seattle Storm and former Purdue star Katie Gearlds. Tipoff for Heart Healthy Night is 6:00 p.m.

The focus on women's heart disease screening and prevention is part of a national six-month promotional effort to raise awareness of heart disease among women. A portion of ticket sales will help fund Community Health Network Foundation's cardiovascular screenings.

Dr. Nanette Oscherwitz, a cardiologist from The Indiana Heart Hospital, will conduct a pregame seminar and question-and-answer session on Finish Line Court. The seminar will begin at 5:15 p.m., and will include the Fever's Tamika Catchings and Tully Bevilaqua, as well as Gearlds and Storm coach Anne Donovan, who also coaches the U.S. National Team. The Indiana Heart Hospital will also have screening stations on the Main Concourse throughout the game.

Single-game tickets for all Fever home games may be purchased at the Conseco Fieldhouse Box Office, all Ticketmaster locations or FeverBasketball.com. For season ticket information, call (317) 917-2500.
