Fever TV Schedule Finalized

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Fever begins its eighth year in the Women's National Basketball Association, and for the eighth consecutive season, the Fever has completed its local television package with regional sports network FSN Indiana. For the sixth straight year, the tandem of Chris Denari and Debbie Antonelli will call the action on Indiana's local telecasts.

Over one-third (12 of 34) of the Fever's regular season games will be on television, the largest number of telecasts in Fever history. Last year, 10 regular season games were telecast. In 2005, there were nine.

Indiana's second game of the regular season, May 24 against the Los Angeles Sparks, will be the first of eight home games televised on FSN Indiana. A pair of games against Eastern Conference rivals Detroit and New York highlights the package, which also includes a date against defending conference champ Connecticut.

For the first time, the Fever's local package will also include a road game. When the Fever plays at Phoenix, July 29, FSN Indiana will carry the game produced locally by FSN Arizona. The addition of the ninth game marks the largest number of games ever to air on the Fever's local carrier.

In addition, Indiana will appear on three national telecasts during the regular season, beginning with its game at Minnesota on Tuesday, May 29, on ESPN2. The game is part of the league's ESPN Tuesday package which runs exclusively on ESPN2. Almost every Tuesday night this season, ESPN2 will showcase the WNBA with an East Coast game followed by a West Coast game.

Subsequent national games include another ESPN Tuesday game on ESPN2, July 10 at Houston; and an ABC telecast on Saturday afternoon, August 11, in a rematch of last year's first-round playoff series at Detroit. Three of the Fever's four games with the defending WNBA champion Shock will be televised. The complete TV schedule is as follows:

The Fever opens the regular season against the Minnesota Lynx, May 19 (7:00 p.m.) at Conseco Fieldhouse.
