
Fever End Three-Game Road Trip with Matchup against the Sun

The Indiana Fever will play the Connecticut Sun for the third time this season on Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET at the Mohegan Sun Arena. The Sun won the first two meetings with a 94-85 victory on May 20 and a 92-70 decision on May 22.
In their last game, the Fever attempted a late comeback against the Atlanta Dream in what was ultimately a 75-66 loss. Guard Kelsey Mitchell continued her All-Star level scoring streak with a 20-point performance. Rookie forward NaLyssa Smith finished with 10 points and four rebounds and fellow rookie center Queen Egbo led the team in rebounding for the seventh time this season with eight boards.
Mitchell, the third leading scorer in the WNBA, led the offense for the entire game, hitting three 3-pointers in her 7-of-14 shooting night. The rest of the Fever went on to only shoot 16-of-52 from the field.
For Connecticut, the Sun is 3-1 in its last four games, all on the road. The last game resulted in a 93-86 win against the Seattle Storm. Reigning league MVP and the most recent Eastern Conference Player of the Week, Jonquel Jones, filled the stat sheet with 25 points, eight rebounds, six assists and three steals. Alyssa Thomas recorded a double-double with eight points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists.
The Sun trailed by 10 late in the third quarter, but used a 32-19 offensive surge in the fourth quarter to complete the comeback victory against Seattle.
