Hartford Yard Goats News Release

BOWIE, MD- Hartford Yard Goats pitcher Ryan Feltner struck out a season-high nine batters, but it wasn't enough as the Yard Goats (21-48) fell to the Bowie Baysox, 5-0, Friday night at Prince George's Stadium. It was the second straight night Bowie pitchers shut out Hartford.

Feltner, who dropped to 1-2, matched Baysox starting and winning pitcher Mike Baumann zero for zero until the last of the fourth, when he yielded back-to-back home runs to Patrick Dorrian and Toby Welk. The Hartford right-hander turned in his second straight quality start, allowing two runs on five hits, walking three and striking out nine. Baumann, who improved to 3-2, pitched six innings and allowed two hits, one walk and struck out seven.

Bowie (40-28) broke the game open in the seventh inning against lefty reliever PJ Poulin. The former UConn pitcher walked three, while surrendering a two-run double to Baltimore Orioles first round draft pick Adley Rutschman and a sacrifice fly to Welk.

Jameson Hannah, Coco Montes, Willie Abreu and Jose Gomez had the Hartford hits. Welk's homer and two RBI and Rutschman's two hits and two RBI paced the Baysox.

The series continues tomorrow night when Nick Bush (LHP) pitches for Hartford against Grayson Rodriguez (RHP) for Bowie. The game will be broadcast on 1410 AM, 100.9 FM and newsradio1410.iheart.com, while also streaming on MiLB.TV.
