FC Tulsa News Release
TAMPA, Fla. - The 918 will receive its first dose of professional soccer in 161 days on March 25. That glorious Saturday will mark the re-opening of ONEOK Field gates as thousands of soccer fans will convene together to watch FC Tulsa host Loudoun United FC in Tulsa's 2023 USL Championship home opener.
The match will be the first of 17 home matches for FC Tulsa in 2023, the remainder of which will be announced at a later date along with kickoff times.
March 25 will also feature the home debut of the club's new head coach, Blair Gavin, and the squad he has constructed to usher FC Tulsa back into the USL Championship Playoffs for the third time in four years.
"We are all very excited to play in front of our fans and have the ability to connect once again," said FC Tulsa head coach Blair Gavin. "We are constantly working to put together a team that represents this great city and having the opportunity to showcase this at ONEOK is something we will cherish. None of these games are easy, but having the support from the stands will help push the team forward. Hopefully we can build a fortress at ONEOK together and set the foundation for a great 2023 season!"
Before its home opener, a trip to the southernmost USL Championship city awaits FC Tulsa as it will take on Miami FC to open the 2023 campaign on March 11. In four total meetings with Loudoun and Miami a season ago, FC Tulsa went undefeated with a win and a draw against both clubs.
