FC Tulsa Announces Six-Match Preseason Schedule
January 23, 2020 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
FC Tulsa News Release
TULSA - Before the 2020 USL Championship regular season gets underway for FC Tulsa, the club will find its form and chemistry in a six-match preseason slate that includes four matches played in Tulsa. Home preseason matches will be open to all 2020 FC Tulsa Season Ticket Members.
"Our 2020 Season Ticket Members should be among the first to witness the start of our new era at FC Tulsa on the pitch," said President James Cannon. "I am excited about the team we have put together for the 2020 season and look forward to our fans seeing them in action."
The 2020 FC Tulsa preseason will be as follows.
February 8 vs. Oklahoma Wesleyan University (NAIA), 2 p.m., Titan Sports Complex
February 16 vs. Saint Louis FC (USL Championship), 2 p.m., Titan Sports Complex
February 19 vs. Oral Roberts University (NCAA Div. I), 7 p.m., Holland Hall School
February 22 at Rogers State University (NCAA Div. II), 2 p.m., Claremore, OK
February 25 at North Texas FC (USL League One), 2 p.m., Frisco, TX
February 29 vs. Sporting Kansas City II (USL Championship), 1 p.m., Titan Sports Complex
Highlighting the preseason schedule are two Eastern Conference USL Championship teams in Saint Louis FC and Sporting Kansas City II (formerly known as Swope Park Rangers). Both teams used to reside in the Western Conference with FC Tulsa. FC Tulsa will also take on reigning USL League One champion North Texas SC at the FC Dallas training complex in Frisco, Texas.
"Our preseason schedule is exactly what we wanted in terms of layout and quality of opponent," said FC Tulsa head coach Michael Nsien. "We thought it was very important for us to have a proper gauge of USL Championship level opponents and also have the overloads that happen in our season with matches on short rest. We should come away from preseason with a clear understanding of how we want to play with the level of intensity required for a very demanding league. Players will get an opportunity to make their case to fit in within the rostered 18."
FC Tulsa's USL Championship regular season begins on March 7 at Sacramento Republic while the home schedule will start the following week on March 14 against New Mexico United at ONEOK Field. Season tickets are available now at www.FCTulsa.com/tickets.
