
FC Dallas to Broadcast Second Match in Franchise History: Dallas Burn vs Kansas City Wiz from 4/18/96

Frisco, TX - Following the popularity of the Burn Debut broadcast, FC Dallas is launching a series of #ThrowbackThursday editions of FCD Rewind presented by Heineken starting with the club's second match in franchise history featuring the Dallas Burn's 3-0 win over the Kansas City Wiz at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas' Fair Park. The match, which originally aired live on ESPN2 on April 18, 1996, can be seen on FCDallas.com/OnDemand from 7-9PM CT on Thursday, April 30.
Former Burn players Jason Kreis, Ted Eck and John Kerr, Jr. will provide second screen commentary during the match on FC Dallas' Facebook page. Kreis, the current head coach of the U.S. U-23 men's team and USL League One club Fort Lauderdale CF, played for the Burn from 1996-2004, earning league MVP honors during the 1999 season. He remains Dallas' all-time leader in games played (247), goals (91), assists (65) and points (247). Eck played midfielder for the Burn from 1996-2000 and is currently the Director of Video Analysis for Real Salt Lake. Kerr was a midfielder for the Burn during the 1996 inaugural season. He has served as the head coach of the Duke University men's soccer team since 2008.
