FC Dallas Announces Star Wars Night at Toyota Stadium as Dallas Hosts Austin FC

Frisco, Texas - It's Star Wars night on Saturday, August 26 at Toyota Stadium when FC Dallas hosts Austin FC in a Copa Tejas matchup presented by H-E-B. The force will be strong as Dallas returns to MLS action after an exciting Leagues Cup run which saw FCD falling in PKs to eventual Leagues Cup champion Inter Miami CF on Sunday, August 6. Saturday's match is Dallas' only league game at home this month.

Copa Tejas

FC Dallas continues its quest for a second Copa Tejas title with its match against Austin FC on Saturday. Copa Tejas is a fan-driven competition between the three Texas-based MLS clubs: FC Dallas, Houston Dynamo FC and Austin FC. The title is claimed by whichever club earns the most points against the other two during the regular season. Dallas is currently in third with one point after its 1-1 draw with Houston on May 20 followed by a 3-0 loss in Austin in June. Dallas will need to win its final two Copa Tejas matches to claim its second title after winning the first edition of the Copa Tejas in 2021.

1000-Drone Postgame Drone Show

1000-Drone Postgame Drone Show FC Dallas is hosting its biggest, boldest and most exciting postgame drone show of the season. One thousand drones will light up the Toyota Stadium sky shortly after the match for FC Dallas' popular postgame drone and fireworks show.

Meet Your Favorite Star Wars Character

Character actors from the Star Wars franchise will be in attendance throughout the night for fans to meet or take a photo. Darth Vader/Some Other Character will help kick off the match by lighting the shield before the game.

Star Wars Posters
