Lake Country DockHounds News Release
The Lake Country DockHounds have been hitting above average in the series against the RedHawks.
In the first game of that series, TJ Bennett almost hit for the cycle. He ended that day with three doubles, a triple, and a single. Aaron Takacs has also been on a hot streak. In the last seven days, Takacs is hitting at a .417 clip with ten hits and an on-base percentage of .500.
After a slow start to the campaign, Daikan Yoh has been heating up. He also is hitting way above average, with a slugging percentage of .529 in the last week.
CROWN ME: With 24 games completed, the chase for the home run title is heating up. Currently, four players lead the pack.
Jabari Henry from the Canaries is tied for thellead the American Association with 11 home runs. Joining him are three players from Kansas City: Jan Hernandez, David Thompson, and Matt Adams. Drew ward follows with 10 moonshots.
PITCHING MATCHUP: Duncan Snider takes the mound for his second start of the 2022 campaign. In his last start, Snider pitched six innings, allowed two earned runs, and struck out five. However, he ended up with the loss in a low scoring game against Gary SouthShore.
Zach Keenan will make his first start for the Saltdogs. He pitched five seasons with the Middle Tennessee State, and comes from Suwanee, Georgia.
BEST OF THE BEST: A quarter of the way through the 2022 regular season, one team leads the AA in overall record: the reigning champs, Kansas City. They have won 9 of their last ten ball games, and sit with an incredible 20-7 record.

DOCKHOUNDS HITTING COACH: Dave Nilsson, or "Nilly" as the team calls him, is one of two former Milwaukee Brewers to coach for the DockHounds this season. Nilsson played for the Milwaukee Brewers for his entire MLB career.
Arguably his most successful season came in 1996, when he hit at a .331 clip, had 17 home runs, and chipped in 84 RBIs. He was also an MLB all-star in 1999. Nilsson also manages the Australian National Baseball Team and has done so since 2018.
