Fans Vote Brock Hirsche As December Player Of The Month

PRINCE GEORGE, BC- #10 Brock Hirsche earned nearly 40% of 400 fan votes to grab the top spot as Hubbell Designer Goldsmiths Player of the Month for December 2009. The forward had three goals and four assists in December, with a point in three of the Cougars four wins this month. He currently leads the team in rookie scoring in goals with 8 and points with 16.

Hirsche is from Lethbridge, AB, and was the Cougars second pick, 32nd overall in the 2007 WHL Bantam Draft.

"Hirsche has excellent leadership skills," said General Manager Dallas Thompson. "He is a tireless worker, excellent student and citizen."

Hirsche will be honoured during a red carpet presentation at the Cougars only matinee home game this season on Sunday, January 3rd. Puck drop is 2:30pm.

Each month the Hubbell Designer Goldsmiths Player of the Month, as chosen by the Prince George Cougars fans, will receive a gift certificate for Shogun courtesy of Hubbell Designer Goldsmiths. The player to earn the most cumulative votes in 2009/2010 will be presented with a one of a kind, handmade Darrell Hubbell original Prince George Cougars ring at the final regular season game.
