Indiana Fever News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - As the Indiana Fever participates in its 10th WNBA season in 2009, the franchise celebrates its first decade with the naming of the Indiana Fever All-Decade Team. In appreciation for its fans that have supported the franchise through its first nine seasons, the team will conduct a fan balloting sweepstakes to select the team, with all registered voters becoming eligible for sweepstakes prizes.
Balloting and official sweepstakes begin Friday, June 12. All entries must be received by July 31, 2009, when the sweepstakes ends. A grand-prize winner will be named when the Indiana Fever All-Decade Team is unveiled and the Fever hosts defending WNBA champion Detroit on August 15, 2009.
A 50" HDTV valued at $1,500 will be awarded as the grand-prize. Three grand-prize finalists will be randomly selected from among all eligible entrants. Grand-prize finalists shall receive two courtside seats to the August 15 home game, at which they will participate in a contest to win the HDTV. Further, eight secondary prize drawings throughout the sweepstakes will award eight randomly selected winners with four courtside tickets to an upcoming 2009 home game.
Registration for official sweepstakes is free. Fans may vote as often as they like and no purchase is necessary. Fans may enter by registering at one of the designated kiosks located in Conseco Fieldhouse or elsewhere, or by registering online at FeverBasketball.com.
Fans will select the 10 players who they feel have made the greatest contributions to the Indiana Fever, combining on-court performance with spirit and sportsmanship.
