Fanelli Collects Three Awards at End of Year Banquet

The Kitchener Rangers Hockey Club held their Annual Awards Banquet on Monday, March 18 in the Ballroom at Bingemans in Kitchener.

Ben Fanelli was awarded three of the evening's honours, including Most Popular Player and Outstanding Team Effort.

Awards were presented as followed:

Ted Scharf Award presented by Kitchener sports Association (Community Service) - Domenic Alberga

Kitchener Rangers Most Popular Player - Ben Fanelli

Herchenrader Family Trophy (Best Defensive Ability) - Curtis Meighan

Les Bradley Memorial Award (Most Improved Player) - Brent Pedersen

Jim McGeachie Memorial Trophy (Outstanding Team Effort) - Ben Fanelli

Bob "Snowy" Schlieman Award (Best Offensive Defenseman) - Ryan Murphy

Michael Pappert Memorial Trophy (Rookie of the Year) - Justin Bailey

Blueline Club Trophy (Most Gentlemanly Player) - Tobias Rieder

Jim Malleck Memorial Trophy (Most Valuable Player) - Ben Fanelli and Matt Puempel

Jim Reilly Trophy (Scoring Champion) - Joshua Leivo
