DES MOINES - Iowa Barnstormers Head Coach Joe Brannen announced today that the team has signed Defensive Back Ter'Ran Benton.
Benton (6-1, 203) returns to the Iowa Barnstormers for his fourth season with the organization. Benton first joined the Barnstormers in the Arena Football League (AFL) for the final 4 games of the 2012 season recording 13 tackles, 2 pass break-ups and a forced fumble. Following his rookie season, Benton was signed to a two year contract. In 2013, he collected 71.5 tackles and five interceptions in 17 games. In 2014, he logged 65.5 tackles and three interceptions in 18 games. Benton spent the 2015 season with the LA Kiss of the AFL. Benton is best known to Iowans from his four year standout career at Iowa State University (2008-11).
