Saint John Sea Dogs News Release
SAINT JOHN, March 23, 2007 - Saint John Sea Dogs athletic therapist Etienne Fallu has been named to the training staff of Team Canada for the 2007 World Under-18 Championship, which runs April 11-22 in Tampere and Rauma, Finland.
This will not be Fallu's first exposure to international hockey. He has participated in a number of international events over the past several years including the 2004 World Under-18 summer tournament held in Slovakia/Czech Republic.
"It's always an honor to be with a team that represents your country," he said. "Frankly, I'd rather be in the playoffs with the Sea Dogs, but this is a nice alternative."
The World Under-18 Championship brings together the best under-18-aged players in the world, many of whom will be high selections at the NHL entry draft in June. Canada's team will be made up of the best eligible under-18 players who are not involved in the playoffs of the CHL or other leagues.
