Falcons Head Coach Jeff Truitt To Serve As Honorary Captain

Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that head coach Jeff Truitt will serve as an honorary captain as part of the 2008 East Longmeadow Men's Charity Softball All-Star Game. The event will take place on Sunday, July 6, 2008 starting at 6:05 pm at Mapleshade Field in East Longmeadow, MA.

Joining Truitt as an honorary captain will also be Falcons' radio play-by-play broadcaster Mike Kelly, along with team mascot "Screech." Proceeds raised during this special evening will benefit the Baystate Regional Cancer Program.

Truitt was recently named head coach of the Falcons on June 17, 2008 after serving as an assistant coach with the team during the 2007-08 campaign. The Falcons will be entering their 15th Anniversary Season and ticket packages are currently on-sale by calling 413-739-3344.
